Two ‘not so obvious’ things you need to win at life
Today I wanted to really dig deep and find out what it actually takes to be truly happy and succeed in life.
There were two fundamental building blocks based on my personal experience that really allowed me to make improvements in all areas of my life:
1. Get a big enough reason to why you HAVE to succeed
People who are truly happy in life didn’t just know that they had to change…
They had a clear reason WHY they had no choice but to succeed.
And that changes the game entirely.
Think about it…
Most people WANT a lot of things…
But merely knowing what you want is wishful thinking.
Knowing WHY you want it and making it BIG is what will get you out of bed in the morning working towards your goals.
Knowing your WHY is what will make you sacrifice things, whether that is leaving old habits or people behind that no longer serve you or is in line with the new YOU that you’re working to build.
Knowing your WHY is what will make sure you power through your fears, your hangups, your hesitations and your excuses.
It’s one of the building blocks of success…
2. Surround yourself with the right people.
You are the sum total of the people you spend the most time with…
And one of the best ways to be truly aligned with your goals is to surround yourself with the people who are on the same path as you.
The quality of your life is dictated by the quality of your connections – and the most successful people I’ve ever met or follow, craft their social circle with great care and ensure that they spend time with people who raise them up even further.
Think of the quality of your conversations…
The quality of your routine and lifestyle…
The quality of the way you work and the way you do things..
Now think of how much better it all would be if you had a tribe of extraordinary people who are pushing through that struggle together?
Isn’t it time you surround yourself with a tribe committed to excellence and who will hold you to the same standard?
I’ve been personally blessed to be surrounded by people who support, believe and encourage me.
These people inspire me and challenge me to never stay comfortable staying in one place, but rather inspire me to continually strive to learn, make mistakes and improve all in the aim of reaching my highest potential.
And there is nothing more powerful than that 🙂
So I challenge you to start involving yourself with people who lift you, inspire you, and motivate you to do and be more.
And as you grow, this might mean changing friends and colleagues, and that’s part of life.
Just trust in the power of your environment because it’s the people you surround yourself with that will play a huge factor in living the life you dream of.
